COVID UPDATE
As lockdown comes to an end, the inevitable question of “when will Arch Rivals be opening back up?” keeps coming up.
The short answer to the question is that we won’t. Well not as we were before anyway.
We do not plan to open up our doors as a dine-in restaurant again.
There are two main reasons:
The first is one of practicality. We’ve run the numbers (lots of times) and being able to balance safety with financial viability simply isn’t going to be possible for us. Restaurants rely on busy rooms, at all times, and for now at least that isn’t going to be possible.
Secondly, having fallen into being a shop / bodega / take-away business, we’ve kinda fallen in love with it.
It has brought with it lots of challenges (online booking systems, pacing of orders, packaging, designing menus that can withstand transportation, sourcing, workflow, blah, blah, blah..). But it has not at all been a bad experience. In fact, it has been kinda fun.
So much so that we are excited to carry this model forward and continue to cook food for you to enjoy at home or in the park, and to expand upon the bodega part too to offer even more great produce from our various brilliant suppliers.
We hope that you will continue to come to us for a meal now and then, or pick up some bits and bobs from our shop, and we’re incredibly thankful for all the kindness and support everyone has shown us.
We’ve loved the fact that through being shopkeeps, we’ve actually been able to get to know some of you properly, so here’s to many more new friendships in 2020!

Our click and collect butchers shop can also be ordered on the below link. Collection days are Wednesday and Saturday and no collection time is needed. Just turn up any time during our opening hours to collect your order.
